Robert James Karch

Robert James “Bob” Karch, born March 20, 1953, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio. Bob’s life was marked by his warmth, laughter, and an innate ability to connect with those around him.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his commitment and dedication. After his time in the military, he went on to build a career in the food service industry, working for several different companies over the years as a restaurant manager. Bob found joy in the camaraderie of the workplace and was known for being both friendly and funny. His easygoing nature and kindness enabled him to make friends easily wherever he went and was a proud member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. 

Family was always at the center of Bob’s life, his siblings are: brother Michael Karch and wife Penny, brother Joseph Karch, III, and sister Mary Anne Karch. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Karch Jr., and his mother, Mary Karch.

Those who knew Bob will remember his welcoming spirit and the way he could always bring a smile to your face. His presence enriched the lives of many, whether sharing a laugh with coworkers, offering a listening ear to family, or exchanging pleasantries with a new acquaintance.

Bob’s legacy is one of kindness, humor, and heartfelt connection. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
