Robert "Dave" Harmon, born on August 6, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, in his hometown. A dedicated professional, Robert spent many years in electronic manufacturing, contributing his skills at Toledo Transducers and Cutting Edge as a packaging manufacturer. In addition to this, he served as a courier for the White House in Washington, D.C., showcasing his commitment and work ethic.
A passionate musician, Robert was also a guitar teacher who focused on classical and jazz, sharing his love for music with many. His accomplishments were noteworthy; he had the distinct honor of playing for the Prime Minister in Tel Aviv, Israel, with a local orchestra. Throughout his life, he sought no recognition for his talents, instead finding fulfillment in blessing others with his music and serving God.
Robert was a simple man with a meticulous approach to everything he did. He was known for his loving and caring nature, as well as for his hard work and generosity. His faith played a significant role in his life, and even in his illness, he leaned on his belief in God. He frequently welcomed nurses who would read him scriptures from the Bible, reflecting the strength he found in Christ. One of his favorite passages from the Bible was 2 Corinthians 5:7-8, which expressed his deep confidence and faith.
He is survived by his brother, Tim (Rosie); nephews Edward (Darla), Neal (Amy), Jacob (Elizabeth), Hanna, Eric, and Jimmy (Rachel); nieces Nicole (Aaron) and Sharalee (Bryan); as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews: Lorena, Tiffany, Kourtney (Ryan), Ketlove, Wisler, Nathan, Robbie, Mariah, Chloe, Lily, and Levi. He also leaves behind great-great-nieces and nephews: Aleecia, Areanna, Addison, Maeve, Malachi and Lincoln, along with a host of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Harmon; his brother, James L. Jr.; his sister, Pamela L.; and his great-niece, Sophie.
