Robert "Bud" Seawick, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and respected member of the Toledo community, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born on November 27, 1946, in Toledo, Bud was a man who embraced life with joy, making lasting memories with his family and friends.

Bud's career was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the automotive industry. In 1974, he took over Quality Poultry, a family business handed down from his father. It was evident that Bud inherited not only the business acumen but also a commitment to family values from his parents, Joseph and Irene Seawick. After this venture, he successfully made a name for himself in car sales in Toledo. Then, he started Hurricane Express, earning the respect of many in the trucking industry. Bud most recently, he had been engaged in running car parts for Ballas Buick GMC, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his work.

Beyond his professional life, Bud was known for his vibrant personality and willingness to lend a helping hand. Bud and Pam loved being members of the Elks where they made may friends, during his time there, he went thru the chairs and succeeded becoming a past exulted ruler.  He was carefree and family-oriented, always placing the needs of his loved ones above his own. Bud cherished his role as a husband to Pam Seawick, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of 48 years. His devotion was evident as he proudly supported their daughter, Adria Seawick, and his step-daughter, Lisa Szachta.

As a grandfather, Bud found immense joy in his grandsons—Dominick, Justin, Stephan, and Jordan Szachta. He took particular pride in Dominick's accomplishments in hockey, celebrating his successes with enthusiasm and love. His time spent with family was precious to him, whether it was racing cars and boats or enjoying the great outdoors while camping or watching his grandkids play.

Bud served his country proudly in the Ohio National Guard, reaching the rank of Sergeant E-6 and receiving a merit of honor. Throughout his tenure, he was deployed several times, showcasing his commitment and resilience during times of need.

In addition to his living family members, Bud is predeceased by his brother, Richard Seawick. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew him.
