Robert “Bob” Charles Turner, Sr., of Toledo, Ohio, passed away in Toledo on October 4, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on December 2, 1958, in Toledo, and remained deeply rooted in the city that shaped his life. He was raised in Toledo and was a graduate of Rogers High School.

Bob was a man of energy, humor, and unmistakable presence. He had a lot of personality and was well known for his happiness, bringing warmth and laughter wherever he went. At family gatherings and among friends, he was often the entertainment, the one whose spirit filled the room. He was known for his hugs and handshakes, and a helping hand that reflected his generous heart. To many, Bob was truly the life of the party.

Work was an important part of Bob’s life, and it was something he genuinely loved. He began his career at just 17 years old and stayed with it until his retirement 34 years later. He served as Supervisor of the Village of Ottawa Hills Street and Forestry, a role that reflected his dedication, steady work ethic, and pride in a job well done.

Outside of work, Bob embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a huge car lover who spent much of his time rebuilding and racing cars with his brothers, a passion that brought together skill, patience, and excitement. He also enjoyed fishing, and he liked to travel and gamble, always ready for a good story, or a memorable time with others.

Above all, Bob’s greatest legacy lives on in the family who knew his love firsthand. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Jeremy Clouse) Turner; his mother, Evelyn Turner; his brothers and sisters, William Turner, Bonnie (Mike) Piasecki, Jerry (Tracy) Turner, Beth (Jerry) Tipping, and Al (Joann) Watson; and his grandchildren, Amaya, Dickie, and Kashton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Turner, Jr., and by his father, Lewis Turner.

Bob will be remembered for the laughter he inspired, and the way he made people feel welcome with a handshake, a hug, and his unforgettable personality. His memories will remain an unforgettable and cherished part of the lives of those who loved him.
