Robert "Bob" R. Head

Robert R. "Bob" Head, 80, peacefully passed away on August 26, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg, embraced by his loving family. Born on May 10, 1946, in Palatka, FL to Francis and Mildred (Willey) Head, Bob lived a life marked by dedication and warmth.

For over 25 years, he diligently worked as an Operator with Lucas County Engineers. A true Ohio State Buckeye enthusiast, Bob found joy in coaching the Stars League Walbridge Wildcats and Walbridge Tigers for 13 years. His love for bowling, fishing, hunting, poker, and Sudoku added color to his days.

Bob cherished his role as a grandfather, thriving in the joyful chaos of his grandchildren's sporting events. After retiring, he and his beloved wife, Marita, embarked on adventures, traveling, cruising, and visiting casinos, Las Vegas being a favorite. Known for his hospitality, Bob often served as a bartender at family weddings.

His gentleness and generosity left a lasting impact on those around him. Bob leaves behind Marita, his devoted wife of 58 years; children, Robert (Robin) Head, Kathy (Norman) Drzewiecki, and Steven Head; grandchildren, Michele (Josh), Eric (Beth), Kevin (Michelle), Megan, Nicholas (Dana), Kourtney (Sean), Breanne (Justin), Brooke, Lauren, Samantha, Chelsea, Taylor, and Alexander; and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Edward Head, Elva Goben, Thomas Head, and Darlene Kinzer. Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings, Gloria Henneman, Charlotte Goben, and Clyde Head.

Family and friends will be welcomed on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 6:00 p.m.
