Rita Mae Bollman

May 20, 1947 – October 13, 2026

Rita Mae Bollman, 79, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, after a courageous fight with cancer. Throughout her battle, she faced each day with the same strength, determination, and spirited nature that defined her entire life.

Born on May 20, 1947, to Paul and Beatrice Callahan, Rita was the oldest of five children. From an early age, she embraced responsibility and developed the strong will and resilience that would carry her through life's challenges.

Rita graduated from high school and later married the love of her life, John Bollman. Together they built a loving home and raised three sons while Rita continued her education, earned her college degree, and worked as a dedicated Clerk of Courts. She was immensely proud of her family and especially cherished seeing each of her sons graduate from high school and build successful lives of their own.

Known for her feisty personality, strong opinions, and outgoing spirit, Rita never hesitated to speak her mind and always stood up for what she believed in. At the same time, she had a remarkable gift for accepting people just as they were. Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor drew people to her, and she formed lasting friendships wherever she went.

Rita found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved making crafts, crocheting gifts for those she loved, and spending evenings watching movies with John, who preceded her in death. Music filled her heart, especially the golden oldies she grew up with. Whether listening to her favorite songs or dancing in her chair to a familiar tune, Rita's love of music brought smiles to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bollman, and by her parents, Paul and Beatrice Callahan.

Rita leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her sons, Robert (Alyne) Bollman, Thomas (Lisa) Bollman, and Bryan Bollman; her cherished grandsons, Kyle and Michael; her siblings; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched with her compassion, humor, and unwavering love.

Rita's legacy is one of courage, perseverance, acceptance, and devotion to family. She faced life's joys and hardships alike with grace and determination, leaving behind countless memories that will be treasured for generations. Though she will be deeply missed, her strength, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy and at peace."
