Ricky J. Rudd

Ricky J. Rudd, 64, of Maumee, Ohio quietly passed at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Ricky was born to Buddy J. and Ann K. (Hogancamp) Rudd on December 3, 1961, in Toledo, Oh. Rick married the love of his life on August 7, 1982. Together they have two sons and six grandchildren.

Rick was a Journeyman Tool and Die maker, and retired from Chrysler in 2022, after 30 years of service. Early in his career he worked for General Engineering and Janson tool and die.

Rick’s pride and joy was his boys, his grandchildren and the many model steam engines he built. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially camping with his grandchildren at Ohio state parks. He enjoyed traveling to beach towns, historic sites and the Smokey mountains.

Rick is survived by his parents, his loving wife, Terri l (Phillips), sons Brandon (Jamie) and Darren (Allison) and his grandchildren (Heidi, James, Valerie, Violet, Trudy and Phoebe), and his brother, Jason. He is preceded in death by his brother, David L. Rudd, and his grandparents Floyd and Mary Rudd and James and Inez Hogancamp.

A private service for the family will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville OH with pastor Patrick Trumbo of Monclova Road Baptist Church officiating.
