Richard "Rick" H. Bloom

Richard “Rick” Bloom passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, leaving behind a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him. Rick lived with passion, adventure, and a spirit that could not be contained. He had a deep love for classic cars, car shows, and racing, and took great pride in his cars and the care he put into them. He loved showing them, talking about them, and sharing that passion with others. He also loved snowmobiling alongside his brother and good friends, creating memories on the trails that he treasured, and embraced every chance to enjoy life, truly living life to the fullest. 

Rick will be remembered for his silly postings, his sense of humor, and the impact he made on so many lives. He had a way of bringing smiles to others and leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. He shared a special and cherished life with his beloved wife, Janet, whom he adored. Rick also loved his “fur babies,” “Mandy,” “Shelby,” “Toby,” and “Lacey.” 

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Donna Bloom, and his brother, Terry Bloom. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Bloom; his brother, Larry (Mary Jo) Bloom; his sister, Debra (Larry) Blockowski; his brother, Todd (Shelly) Bloom; and his sister, Wendy Foor, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Rick’s memory will live on in every classic car show, every snowy trail, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Rick’s family would like to thank the staff at The Cleveland Clinic especially Dr. Ran Lee and the L-VAD Team for their loving care of Rick.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held for Rick.
