Richard E. Eppard

Richard Edward Eppard, age 82 of Centerville, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026. He was born July 6, 1943 in Sylvania, Ohio. He graduated from Sylvania High School and earned his Associates Degree from Owens Technical College. Richard served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Richard worked for 39 years as a Millwright for the Jeep Corporation. He was a bowler and a lifelong avid golfer and played in many leagues over the years with friends. Richard loved gardening in his yard and traveling to Canada and the East Coast with his wife. Throughout his lifetime, he was a caregiver to many, and always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Richard is survived by his children, Mark E. (Melissa) Eppard, Thomas W. (Sarah) Eppard, Jeanette M. (Tom) Roesner; grandchildren, Cory, Brian (Karli), Ashly (Josh), Alicia (Joe), Allison, Brandon, Molly (Nathan), Emily; three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris Eppard; siblings Brenda and Jim; and parents. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Bethany Village (Graceworks) and Touching Hearts at Home.

The family will receive guests Friday, April 24, 2026 from 11:00 - 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel 4150 W. Laskey Road Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral service services will begin Friday at 12:30 pm at the funeral home, followed by a private inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery.
