Raymond E. "Ray" Mack, age 86, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born on February 12, 1931 to Raymond C. and Florence (Bogdanski) Mack in Toledo and was raised by Joseph Staab and Florence after his fathers passing. Ray attended Central Catholic High School and proudly served his country in the USMC during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Donna M. (Grimm) Mack in January 1955, they were married for 53 years.
Ray retired from AP Parts after 30 years of service and after retirement he worked at Gladieux Catering. He and Donna were longtime members of St. Catherine of Siena Church. He was an avid golfer, bowler and slot machine player! Ray's family will remember him for the love and dedication he gave to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna 2008; sisters, Patricia Walcher and Catherine Woodall and great-granddaughter, Desiree Martin. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Dan (Kathy) Mack, Julie (Paul) Meister and TPD Sgt. Edward Mack; special friend, Carol Blythe; siblings, Joseph (Jackie) Staab, Dolores (John) Mazuchowski and Peaches (Robert) Young; grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Amanda, Kathleen, Andrew and Jennifer; eight precious great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4555 N. Haven Ave., Toledo, OH with Rev. Francis Speier officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
