Raymond Roy Klinger

Raymond Roy Klinger, age 74, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at St. Anne’s Hospital. Born in Toledo on March 28, 1952, he was the beloved son of John and Gracie (Gibson) Klinger.

Raymond was a avid golfer, an enthusiastic Ohio State football fan, and a lover of music. He will be fondly remembered for his calm demeanor, attentive listening, and his roles as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Paulette; his children Jeffery Shipley, Greg (Nikki Hatfield) Shipley, Melissa (Fred) Patton, Nick (Erica) Klinger, and Josh (Sarah) Klinger; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Kenneth) Kozman, and brother, John (Amy) Klinger. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gracie Klinger, and his sister, Sally Klinger.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Newcomer Funeral Home (West Sylvania Chapel), located at 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A service celebrating Raymond’s life will immediately follow at 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
