Raymond Bradley Jones, affectionately known as Brad, age 52, passed away on June 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the comfort of his faith in Jesus Christ. Brad's life was characterized by creativity, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Born on October 1, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio, Brad was the cherished youngest son of Ray and Kay Jones. He spent some time in Lafayette, Louisiana, but eventually returned to Toledo, where he proudly graduated from DeVilbiss High School, Class of 1991. Brad possessed a remarkable talent for art and had a knack for fixing things around the house. Whether he was drawing, building, or restoring, he approached each task with imagination, care, and skill.
Music brought immense joy to Brad’s life, and he loved sharing his voice, particularly when his favorite band, Journey, played. His karaoke performances were filled with passion and fun, illuminating the hearts of those around him. When he wasn’t singing, you could often find him engaged in a lively game of pool, another of his beloved pastimes.
Above all, Brad was a man of profound faith, which guided him through every season of his life. His belief in Jesus Christ provided him with strength and hope, and this faith was reflected in the love he extended to everyone he met.
Brad leaves behind his devoted mother, Kay (Gary) Deal; his beloved son, Keegan Cottom; his loving sisters, Jodi Behrendt and Karen (Bryan) Lein; and his cherished nieces and nephews, who will forever hold dear their memories of "Uncle Brad," celebrated for his humor, warmth, and generous spirit.
He was warmly welcomed into eternal life by his father, Raymond Jones; his sister, Holly DeCair; as well as by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his godparents, Jack and Dorothy (Dot) Jones.
While Brad's presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, faith, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew him. The family invites friends to honor Brad by playing their favorite Journey song in remembrance of his infectious joy and his remarkable gift for storytelling, giving thanks for the promise of reunion through Christ. A memorial service in Brad’s Honor will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the American Legion Holland, OH post. All are welcome to come and share fellowship and memories of Brad. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
