Randy Thompson passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with his family by his side. He was born in Kentucky in 1949 and grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Randy was proud of his mountain heritage. He was a self-taught mechanic and carpenter; Randy could fix anything. His pride was his yellow 1955 Chevy pickup which he loved working on and driving around town. He proudly served his country from 1968-1970 in the Army as a chauffeur to Colonel Major Biggs.
He is survived by his cherished wife Lisa (Fox) Thompson, 4 children, Jennifer Calvillo, Suzanne (Rob) Maynard, Heather Satterthwaite, Paul (Stacy) Thompson, 13 Grandchildren and one Great Grandson; siblings, Jerry (Blanche) Thompson, Mark (Kim) Thompson and Kimberley Fraley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lois (Thompson) Fraley; step-father, Sam Fraley and brother, Steve Thompson. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their exceptional care for Randy and his family.
Family and friends will be received at St. Charles Catholic Church, 1842 Airport Hwy, Toledo on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM immediately following visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
