R. Neal Hall

R. Neal Hall (1944-2025), of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home that he shared with his wife of 57 years, Barbara on May 14th. Neal started his life as a chosen addition to the Hall family when he was adopted by his parents Harold and Margaret and was raised in Marion Ohio alongside his brother, Frank (Elyse) and sister, Cathrin (Bob). In Marion he enjoyed growing up playing on many Marion Harding High School sports teams and hanging out with his family and friends. He would go on to achieve a masters degree in education at BGSU and meet the love of his life, Barb Keefe. They were blessed with two children Robert and Carey (Bart) and two granddaughters, Cailin and McKenna. Both Neal and Barb were known for never missing a sporting event or show/concert their children or grandchildren participated in.

Neal was an avid bass fisherman, any chance he got, he was on the water. Neal and Barb loved to play cards, travel and watch BGSU athletics, especially when their son was in the BGSU Band(s). They spent over 45 years going to the family summer home on Cape Cod, where they loved to entertain their friends and family, walk the beach and go to the Chatham A’s Baseball games. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage (Grandpa’s Playhouse), and spending time with his family.

He was a OWE (Occupational Work Experience) Coordinator for Penta Career Center for almost his entire teaching career. He touched the lives of so many students and enjoyed watching them excel at their chosen careers.

Neal was over a 60 year member of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Marion #70, and a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

If you knew or met Neal, you would know he loved to tell a good story. He could sit and chat with anyone and have a great time. There will be a celebration of his life in July and the family is requesting stories that can be shared in a tribute to Neal. Further information on the celebration will be posted soon.
