It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Priscilla "Cilla" Luna, who left this world on January 6, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 46. A cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Cilla's spirit touched all those who knew her, lighting up rooms with her warmth and kindness.
Born on March 5, 1979, in Toledo, Cilla was a free-spirited soul whose personality radiated love and compassion. She graduated from Whitmer High School, embarking on a career that blended her creativity and diligence. For twenty years, she expressed her artistic talents as a hairstylist, and for fifteen years, she dedicated herself as a medical biller at Gentiva—where she was recently recognized for her remarkable service. Cilla was not just hardworking; she embodied what it meant to care for others, always lending a hand and bringing joy to their lives.
Family was the center of Cilla’s world. She enjoyed her daily trips to the store for her dad to get his Lotto tickets and beer… “not really,” as she would jokingly say with a smile that let you know she did it out of pure love. She treasured the moments spent with her parents, Kathe and Kenneth Luna, and held her siblings close, Brandi (Adrian) Martinez and Kenny (Cheeks) Luna. Cilla’s pride and joy were her niece and nephews, whom she regarded as the children she never had. She loved creating unforgettable memories with them, participating in events such as "bring your kid to work day." Each day spent with Leon (Ema Graves) Cook, Justyce (Savannah Fowler) Luna, Dravyn Luna, and Ari Martinez added vibrant colors to her life. Her great-niece Juju and great-nephew Daxton Luna were also sources of endless love and laughter.
Cilla's interests painted a lively tapestry of her life. She found great joy in making homemade raviolis with her mother, a Christmas tradition that will forever be cherished. Her love for the Chicago Bears and Michigan was matched only by her passion for music, fishing during the warmer months, and tubing with her father. To know Cilla was to embrace spontaneity, as she joyously welcomed surprises and adventures.
Though we grieve her loss, Cilla’s legacy will forever resonate within the hearts of those she loved. She was preceded in death by her nephew/god-son Tyler Kelley, her beloved grandparents Tom and Rose Thomas, Bobby Luna, Nancy Overy, and her god-father Victor Parra. Their memories will remain intertwined with hers, a reminder of the love that binds families together.
Cilla will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as well as an extensive circle of loved ones whose lives she brightened. Her visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo on January 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. As we come together to celebrate her life, we will take solace in the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the joy she shared with everyone around her.
Priscilla "Cilla" Luna was a true light in this world, and we are all better for having known her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.
