Phillip Bick

Phillip Bick was born on March 3, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio and passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026. Leaving behind a legacy of honesty, integrity, hard work, and selfless love. 

Born on March 3rd, Phillip was a strong character with an excellent work ethic. He was an excellent plumber for 30 years, 20 of those which he successfully ran his own business. He took immense pride in his work operating with an unwavering sense of integrity that earned him much respect from his peers and clients. Phil luckily was able to retire at a young age in order to enjoy doing all of the things he loved.

Phil was an avid golfer, loved to go snowmobiling, take walks in the park, and spend time with friends and family. He loved to watch his favorite show Seinfeld over and over again, which always made him really laugh. 

Phil had a very strong connection to his brothers, Bart, Tom, Thad, Andy, and Nate whom he loved very much. He always said the best thing his parents ever gave him where his brothers. Above all else he was an awesome father to his children, Jamie and Jon, a proud grandpa to Brandon and he was always there for him no matter the time or need. 

Phillip is lovingly remembered and survived by his children, Jamie (Steve Grohowski) and Jon Bick; his partner of 26 years, Marcy Leu, and her two sons, Justin and Blake; and several grandchildren, Brandon, Lexi, Bryan, Bowen, and Sage; his brothers Bart, Tom, Thad, Andy, and Nate Bick; a loving network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise; and his parents, Joe and Rita Bick.

Friends and family will be received at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m.
