Penny Schill, age 67, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on October 1, 2026, at Toledo Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Penny was born on November 21, 1958, in Fort Dix, New Jersey. She dedicated much of her life to serving others, first as a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard and later through her career as a State Correctional Officer.
On December 5, 1980, Penny married the love of her life, James Schill. Together they built a loving family and shared more than 45 years of marriage filled with cherished memories, adventures, and unwavering devotion.
Penny was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, James Schill; daughters, Lori Schill and Lindsey Schill; beloved grandchildren, Molly Schill, Carley Hughes, Mason J. Schill, and Riley Logan; and siblings, Edward Booska, Tracy Molton, Ori Booska, and Earl Booska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Jane Booska, and her brothers, Carl Booska and Sam Booska.
Penny found joy in traveling and especially loved taking cruises to new destinations. She had a special fondness for owls, adored cats, and treasured the companionship they brought to her life. Above all else, Penny loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her strength, sense of adventure, caring heart, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A legacy of service, love, and devotion remains in the hearts of all who knew her.
