Penni Jo Pelow

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Penni Jo Pelow, aged 61, of Maumee, Ohio. Penni peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 4, 1964, in Toledo, she was a cherished daughter of Ronald and Phyllis (Collins) Coughenour. Penni graduated from Bowsher High School in 1982 and dedicated 34 years of her career to Renal Services of Toledo, where she made a significant impact on those around her. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of CedarCreek Church in South Toledo.

A devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother, Penni had a zest for life that was evident in her love for family gatherings, football, and travel. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and vibrant personality could light up any room. She was also an animal lover, with a special affection for her dogs Chloe, Bailey, and Bubba.

Penni will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for the joy she brought into their lives. Her legacy of love and warmth will continue to resonate in the hearts of family and friends.

Surviving is her loving husband, Dan Pelow; children, Brett Pegish, Brianne (Mike) Plotner, Zachary (Meranda Parrish) Pelow; grandchildren, Isaac Pegish, Marcos and Gabriella; mother, Phyllis Coughenour; siblings, Ron (Bonnie) Coughenour, Janice (Joe) Stockdale; lifelong best friend (her ride or die), Sue Monhollen and many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Pegish; father, Ronald; mother and father in-law, Donald and Marilyn Pelow

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service honoring Penni’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Toledo Memorial Park.

In this time of mourning, let us celebrate the wonderful life of Penni Jo Pelow, who will be sincerely missed but never forgotten.
