Paula J. DeRush

Paula J. DeRush age 78 of Swanton, Ohio passed away on August 25, 2026 at Mercy Health in Perrysburg, OH. She was born in Toledo to Willie and Ruth (Bartlebaugh) Woods.

Paula enjoyed fishing with her husband, Larry; football especially Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers, animals and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband, Larry; sister, Patricia Woods; daughter in-law, Holly Johnson; grandchildren, Jacklyn, Anthony (Hayley), and Reba; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Isaac, Alicia, Sage. Chondalyn, Skylar, Rolo, Little Tony, Waylin and great-great grandchildren, Blair and Pheobe; niece, Sherri Kish; nephews, Brian Swider, Jack Fisher, Jeremy Tomsek and Ben Ramirez; great-niece, Abbigail and great-nephew, Dustin Kish.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicki Woods, step-son, Larry Johnson and grandchildren, Crystal, April and Larry Jr.; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends and family will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Interment, Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
