Paul Eugene Walter

Paul Eugene Walter, age, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, in Swanton, Ohio, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease. Surrounded by love, he is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Paul was born on March 22, 1957 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Samuel R. and Donna B. Walter, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Rossford High School while attending Penta Career Center and went on to study at the University of Toledo. His passion for teaching led him to instruct collision repair classes at both the University of Toledo and Owens Community College.

An extremely dedicated and hardworking man, Paul spent much of his career mentoring students at Penta as an autobody and collision repair teacher, later continuing his work as an estimator until he became ill.

A devoted man of faith, Paul was a member of Perrysburg Alliance Church, he cherished God, his family, and living life with purpose. He was a proud and loving father to Dustin (Leah ) Walter, Dawn (Nick) Bladwin, and Danielle (Carson) Helminiak. He loved them deeply, and he knew they did too. He was a beloved grandfather to Alejandro, Avaya, Ryker, Zahna, Ashton, Justice, and Adelina, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his loving siblings - sister, Sharon (Bill) Hull, and brother, Sam (Ruth) Walter, along with nieces and nephews and his special friend of the family, Becky.

Outside of work, Paul loved riding his motorcycle, seeking adventure, and woodworking particularly crafting clocks that reflected his patience and skill. He treasured time spent with his brother and enjoyed flea markets with his best friend, Tom.

Paul's strength, faith, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew him.

The family will receive guests Friday, January 2, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Swanton Rehabilitation and Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate care.
