Patricia Thiel

Patricia Thiel, affectionately known as Pat and Mimi, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at Kingston in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born on December 15, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, Patricia lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many.

Throughout her career as a waitress, Patricia brought joy and warmth to countless patrons. Her smile was as welcoming as her baking skills, and she dedicated herself to serving her community with grace and kindness.

Patricia took immense pride in her family, often seen supporting her grandchildren and cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Detroit Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys. She cherished every moment spent with her children: Suzanne (Edward Madeline) Paris, Sandi (James) Trabbic, Shari Mexico, Teresa (Larry) Burda, and Michael (Cynthia) Thiel. Patricia was a proud grandmother to Diana (Brian) Trammell, Daniel Trabbic, Robert Mexico, Andrew (Ashlee) Burda, Angela (Hunter) Reichard, Justin (Shelby) Thiel, and Ashlee Thiel. Her legacy continues through her five beloved great-grandchildren.

Patricia is also survived by her two brothers and five sisters, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margarite Meredith; her husband, Lawrence Thiel; her son-in-law, Dominic Paris; grandson, Anthony Paris; granddaughter, Sara Trabbic; and brothers, David and Thomas Meredith.

Family and friends are invited to honor Patricia's life at a Memorial Gathering on August 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
