Patricia "Pat" Mininger passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. Born on February 5, 1935, Pat devoted her life to her family, her career, and her passions, impacting all who had the good fortune to know her.
For an impressive 40 years, Pat worked as a supervisor for Ohio Bell, a role in which her thoughtful nature shone brightly. Her professionalism was only exceeded by her warmth and kindness, earning her respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her career, Pat was a devoted daughter and mother, always putting her family first. She prided herself on being a caring sister and aunt to her many loving nephews and nieces, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Education was highly valued in Pat’s life; she attended Rosary Cathedral Elementary School and continued her journey at Central Catholic High School. The lessons and friendships formed during these years were foundational to her character, marking her as a thoughtful, dedicated individual who nurtured the bonds of family and friendship throughout her life.
Pat found immense joy in reminiscing with her loved ones about cottage days and holiday celebrations, cultivating a sense of belonging and connection that will be remembered fondly by all. One of her deepest loves was rekindling a relationship with her high school sweetheart, Norman Krueger, who was the love of her life. Their journey together added a special chapter to her story, filled with laughter and mutual support.
In her leisure time, Pat delighted in the beauty of nature and animal life, often expressing her love through gardening—a passion she enjoyed with her mother. Her fairy gardens reflected her whimsical spirit, while her extensive collection of cookbooks was a testament to her generous heart, as she poured love into her culinary creations for family gatherings.
Pat’s proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in her roles as a daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. She touched countless lives with her giving spirit and her tendency to think of others first. Her thoughtful nature radiated through every interaction, and her legacy will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
Pat reunites with her beloved family in heaven: her father, James J. Eaton Sr., her mother, Marjorie Houghtell Eaton; her sons, Bret and Daniel Mininger; and her siblings, James Eaton, Thomas Eaton, Diane Smith, and Kathleen Buckenmeyer. Although they are no longer by her side, their spirits will undoubtedly guide and comfort her in the embrace of eternal peace.
Pat is survived by her dear sister Mary Beth (Gary) Holewinski, her many loving nephews and nieces, Eddie (Savanah) Holewinski, Pam (Randy) Paredes, Angela (Ken) Crabtree, Shelly Smith and Brian Smith and great nephews and nieces, Miranda, Nick, Alisha, Brooke and Ian.
Her world may have dimmed, but the light she shared will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she has left behind. Pat Mininger will be deeply missed, but her cherished memories will live on, reminding us all of the beautiful gift of her presence in our lives.
