Patricia "Pat" Ann Ludeman, born on January 16, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was 80 years old. she graduated in 1965 from Anthony Wayne High School were she held fond memories and cherished the friendships she made.
Pat, known affectionately to many as “Mabel” during her cherished years as a bartender, left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her. Renowned for her spirited presence behind the bar, she took great joy in her work, greeting patrons with warmth and humor. The nickname “Mabel” was given to her by a regular, and it followed her throughout her career—a testament to the sense of camaraderie and comfort she created everywhere she went.
Beyond her professional life, Pat was a passionate writer. She found joy in crafting stories and expressing herself through words, a hobby that brought her both fulfillment and connection with others. Her written words were a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her, revealing a depth of character and a caring soul.
Above all, Patricia’s proudest accomplishment was the family she held so dear. Her grandchildren were truly her world. She delighted in their company, celebrating their milestones and supporting them with ceaseless love. The memories and lessons she shared with them will be cherished for generations to come.
Pat is survived by her devoted daughter, Tina (Bradley) Kanary, her beloved son, Chad (Tracey) Ludeman, and her treasured grandchildren—Tanner (Ashley), Conner, Taylor, Hunter, and Riley. Her sister, Agnus Vandorn, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincel and Elsie Slaninka; her brother, Paul Slaninka; and her sisters, Sue Shriner, Carolyn Packer, and Florence Lehman.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her for her kind heart, quick wit, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and friends. Her legacy is one of generosity, laughter, and deep affection.
Pat Ann Ludeman’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the countless lives she enriched.
