Patrice Marie (Welsh) Robie

Patrice Marie (Welsh) Robie, age 72, entered eternal rest on June 17, 2026. Patrice was born on March 10, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Dorothy (Huber) Welsh, who preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her son, Robert Matthew Robie and his wife, Jove Robie; her daughter, Julie (Robie) Wood; grandchildren David Wood, Lauren Wood, Dylan Wood, Jessica Robie, Nathan Yue, Samantha (Robie) Pereyra and her husband Christopher Pereyra, and Christina Robie; and great-grandchildren Callie Wood, Adeline Wood, Brooklyn Wood, David Wood, and Madelyn Pereyra. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Welsh.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Tom Welsh, Mike Welsh, Bill Welsh, and Cheryl (Welsh) Tam. 

Patrice worked for many years as a telemarketer and was a longtime member of Somerset United Methodist Church. She also spent several years as an aerobics instructor at WPOS, sharing her energy, enthusiasm, and love of fitness with others. Whether leading a class, walking a wooded trail, gathering with friends, or filling the pages of a journal, Patrice embraced life's simple joys and encouraged others to do the same. 

After a spinal cord injury changed the course of her life, Patrice took great pride in maintaining her independence and creating a home of her own. With determination and resilience, she continued to live life on her own terms. The support she received from Neighborhood Properties, Inc. helped make that independence possible for many years. Her faithful companion Paco, her beloved dog, brought her comfort and companionship and survives her. 

Like many lives, Patrice's story was both beautiful and complicated. She experienced joys and hardships, triumphs and struggles, yet remained uniquely herself through it all. Those who knew her will remember her independent spirit, her love of nature, her appreciation for friendship, and the many conversations and memories shared along the way. 

For those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing that Patrice has now entered eternal rest, free from the physical limitations she carried for so many years. 

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Neighborhood Properties, Inc. for the support and care that helped Patrice maintain her independence and quality of life. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Neighborhood Properties, Inc. in Patrice's memory.

 Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo, Ohio 43614. from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. 

The family kindly requests that guests wear yellow, Patrice's favorite color, in celebration of her life.
