Pamela Denise McClair, affectionately known as Pam, was born on August 14, 1968, in Paterson, New Jersey to Albert and Roggie McClair. She brought joy to this world and to her family until her passing on August 24, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio.
Pam was a vibrant soul, whose intelligence and sharp sense of humor were unmatched. Graduating from Woodward High School in 1986, she furthered her education at the University of Toledo. Her career spanned over 20 years at Ford Motor Company, where she made her mark in Maumee, OH, then to Dearborn, MI, where she retired in 2018. Throughout her working years, she was known not just for her dedication but also for her candid opinions and willingness to speak her mind, traits that endeared her to coworkers and friends alike.
As a mother and grandmother, Pam held a special place in her heart for her daughter, Endia Burks, and her granddaughter, Kiyomie Burks. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Pam was more than just a loving family member; she was the foundation of many shared memories, laughter, and endless conversations that filled the rooms with warmth. Friends often remarked upon her generous spirit, noting how she was ever eager to give of herself to those she loved.
Pam also had an insatiable curiosity and a passion for learning. An avid reader and an accomplished debater, she thrived on discussions that challenged her perspective. Her love of cooking, trying new recipes, and sharing meals with family and friends were reflections of her nurturing personality. And those who knew her would remember her fondly not just for the food, but for the lively conversations that accompanied every meal.
While Pam brought vibrant energy to the lives of so many, she had a tender side as well, captivated by the music of Prince, which often served as the soundtrack to her life, filling the air with nostalgia during family gatherings.
Pam leaves behind her mother, Roggie McClair; her sister, Kim Ware, and husband Arnold; her daughter, Endia Burks; her granddaughter, Kiyomie Burks; along with nephews Brandon and Bryan Ware. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert McClair. Pam's extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends, will carry forward her legacy of kindness, laughter, and a little bit of spunk.
