Nicole Wert

Nicole Wert, 51, passed away on November 3, 2026. Born on December 11, 1974, she lived a life centered on love, family, and the simple joys that brought people together.

Nicole was a graduate of Whitmer High School, Class of 1993. She went on to build a dedicated career, serving as a sales manager at Habitec Security for more than 21 years. Her long commitment reflected her steady work ethic and the loyalty she brought to all parts of her life.

Outside of work, Nicole embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She loved to cook and found happiness in caring for others, whether through a meal shared around the table or through the comfort she gave so freely. She enjoyed taking cruises, reading, watching movies, bowling, and had recently started golfing. She loved animals and took joy in caring for any and all of them. She also treasured quieter pleasures, including camping, sitting by the fire in her Snuggy, and feeling the warm sun on the beach. At home, some of her happiest times were spent gaming with her husband and enjoying family game nights filled with laughter and togetherness.

Above all, Nicole’s greatest joy was her family. Being a grandma was the highlight of her life, and that love shone brightly in the way she cherished every moment with her grandchildren.

Nicole is survived by her beloved husband, Ken Wert; her children, Nick (Kenzie), Nate (Catie), and Kendra Wert; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Travis, Lincoln, Coralynn, and Myles; her mother, Nancy Schrock; and her siblings, Brian, Lori (Hisham), Todd (Rene), and Terry. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Schrock.

Nicole will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in shared meals, family laughter, quiet evenings by the fire, sunny days, and in the love of all who were blessed to know her.

Nicole's family will receive guests on Monday, November 16, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
