Neil Aaron Little, of Maumee, Ohio and a beloved figure in the Toledo community, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 22, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, Neil spent his life making a profound impact on those around him.
For twenty years, Neil was a dedicated radio broadcaster, affectionately known as Mr. Friday Night, where he covered high school sports with passion and enthusiasm. He worked alongside his cherished wife, Jill, who became known as Mrs. Friday Night, bringing a familial warmth to their broadcasts. In addition to his career in broadcasting, Neil was an inventor and co-authored the book "Testing 1, 2, 3," showcasing his creative spirit and dedication to his craft.
A devoted Christian, Neil fervently spread the word of faith through his radio program "His Word is Truth," exemplifying his commitment to his beliefs and to sharing positive messages with the community. He was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God for over thirty years, where he found a supportive and loving community.
Neil cherished his family above all, especially reveling in his role as a grandfather. His legacy lives on through his loving wife, Jill Little, children: Paul Little, David (Koryn) Little, Robert (Yoyo) Little, Kelly (Justin) Canfield, Andrew (Deanna) Iiams, and Jessica (Craig) Calevro. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren: Lexx, Searra, Liam, Hailey, Haley K., Autumn, Ema, Logan, Rowan, and Oliver, as well as great-grandchildren Bryce and Antonio. Neil is survived by his sister, Judi (Marvin) Fox, and will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, along with his beloved cats Whitey III and Petey.
An avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions, Neil found joy in horse racing—at one point even owning his own racehorse. He enjoyed fishing and was a certified pro scout, while also taking a keen interest in following the stock market.
Neil was preceded in death by his dear parents, Louis E. and Pauline (Lewin) Little. His steadfast spirit and joyful presence will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, faith, and community engagement will continue to inspire those who knew him.
