Nancy Kay Guhl

Nancy K. Guhl, a lifelong resident of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. Nancy was born the fourth child of Frederick and Genevieve (Simon) Guhl on December 9, 1952. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School during her elementary years and graduated from McAuley Catholic High School.

Throughout her life, Nancy was celebrated for her unwavering support and nurturing spirit.

She loving cared for her mom and brother during their extended health journeys, she embraced her responsibilities with grace and selflessness. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Shirtz; her niece and nephews, including Kerry Puhl, Thomas Puhl II, and Timothy (Kassi) Shirtz; and their daughters; as well as her great nephews, John Thomas Zappone and Alexander (fiancée Rebecca Obregón) Zappone.

The joy brought by her great-great niece Gabriella Zappone, added light to her life. Nancy had a special bond with her very dear aunt, Dorothy “Dot” Simon as a mentor and nurturer.

Nancy has now reunited in peace and is pain free with her beloved parents Frederick and Genevieve, her brother Robert, her sister Sharon and brothers-in-law Thomas Puhl and James Shirtz.

Nancy will be laid to rest at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio this Spring. She will be missed by many, but her memory will live on.
