Nancy Rae Braman left us on March 30, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, GA on June 19, 1943 to William C. and Hazel M. Braman.
Nancy lived in a number of locales, including Jacksonville, FL, where she spent some of her happiest decades enjoying the sunshine with her friends at fish camp and cooking for patrons of Ye Olde Towne Tavern. She returned to the Toledo area later in life, tending to loved ones with their favorite meals and surprise presents. She was an early riser, a wonderful cook, and she liked almost everyone she met. She was also an avid fan of detective novels and was well known at the Washington Branch Library.
Nancy began working at a young age and took pride in everything she did. She trained as a bookkeeper for Rink's Bargain City. She enjoyed interacting with customers and later continued to work at Comfort Inn in retirement.
Above all, Nancy was a caretaker, providing loving support to her bonus Clover Lane family for fifteen years. An animal lover, she cared for countless cats in various states of domestication, and one dog who stole her heart.
Nancy is survived by her brother, John, her daughter, Karen, her bonus family, and a number of nieces and nephews. Contributions can be made to Humane Ohio.
All are welcome to join her Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 4th, the time and location to be determined shortly.
