Michael W. Marckel

Michael W. "Mike" Marckel, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on April 21, 2024 at age 64. Son of the late Kenneth and Theresa Marckel. Beloved father of Christy (Jason) Korb, Ashley Marckel, Jordan (Cierra) Marckel, Reighann (Craig Vonlinsowe) Marckel. Adored papa of Corey, Kaleb, Cooper, Autumn, Savannah, Destiny, Madisyn, Bentley and Paizlee. Treasured brother of Kim (Dale Ellis) Marckel and Terri Lou (Rick Smith) Marckel. Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Marckel; niece, Brittany Marckel; grandparents, Edward and Alice Bell, Alta and Charles Marckel; cousins, Cory Bell and Matt Williams; along with his parents and several aunts and uncles.


"Michigan Mike" as he was lovingly known by family and friends, was the leader of the "Family Go Blue Crew" with Chris, Jamie and Jordan. Other than being the most avid Wolverine fan known to man he was also a diehard Raiders and Toledo hockey fan. He loved NASCAR and had an ongoing bet with his son Jordan that Dad won!

He loved his family and friends, especially the kids, he was known as "Papa" or "Uncle Mike" to all of the kids in the family. Mike also enjoyed going to concerts of all kinds but his favorite band was Damien.

A special thank you to Q and Patsy, his favorite aids from the nursing home, for taking such good care of him.

A memorial gathering will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
