Michael J. Jones

Michael Jeffrey Jones, age 57, of Monclova, OH, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2026. Born on November 29, 1968, in Denver, CO, to Walter and Marie Jones, Mike built a successful career in manufacturing starting from entry level at Ball Metal in Findlay, OH and slowly working up to plant manager and director level positions at various companies all over the country, most recently as an Operations Manager at Lyondell Basell in Perrysburg, OH.

A passionate hockey player since childhood, Mike was committed member of the Sylvania Area Hockey League for many years. His love for travel took him all over the world, and he had frequently returned to Sanibel, FL, which was one of his favorite places to be. Above all, Mike's family meant the world to him, with his grandson, Anthony, holding a special place in his heart. Known for his dedication and love, Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karlene J. Jones; his mother, Marie Jones; sister, Shelly Jones; son, Austin (Shannon) Jones; daughter, Allie (Anthony) Gable; beloved grandson, Anthony Gable, Jr.; sister-in-law, Kelly (Bryan) Shock; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Jones, and brother, Rick Jones.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held Saturday, November 14th from 1:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. at VFW Post 5645 (downstairs), 315 Walnut Street, Findlay, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society in Michael's memory.
