Michael Anthony Smith

Michael (Mike) Smith, age 33, of Loveland, OH, formerly of Maumee, OH passed peacefully, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 29, 1992 to Jeffery and Deborah (Vasquez) Smith in Toledo, Ohio.

Michael grew up in Maumee, Ohio where he graduated from Maumee High School and then went on to further his education, attending Owens Community College and Stautzenberger College where he received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. Michael was then employed with Promedica Toledo Hospital IT Dept. and then moved to the Cincinnati area where he was employed with Eyecare Partners in Cincinnati, working in their IT Dept.

Michael enjoyed watching football cheering for his Las Vegas Raiders. He enjoyed gaming with friends, golfing, mountain biking and loved the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Smith; grandfather, Gilbert Vasquez, Sr., and grandmother, Lenilynn Smith.

He leaves behind his loving mother Deborah Smith, brother Nick Smith, grandmother Elena Vasquez, grandfather John Smith and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM.
