Merle Yvonne Kujawa

Merle Yvonne Kujawa, age 96, of Toledo, passed away December 18, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. She was born December 5, 1929 in Toledo to Don Reeves and Opal McClellan. Merle attended 17 different schools throughout her life. She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1947. Merle worked in the family business at Reeves Poultry Farm from ages 11-17. Her first employer was Riverside Hospital at age 17, and then went on to work at various jewelry and retail stores including, Lindell's, Keidan's, Lion Store (downtown Toledo), LaSalle's, Macy's and Elder Beerman, she worked from February 1962 - June 2007.

In addition to her parents, Merle was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Leo Kujawa and sister, Dawn Bondy. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Dalton; grandson, Ryan Dalton; best friends, Jerrie Kucharski, Janie Schlagheck and Julie Molton; and various nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Friday, December 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer- SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Merle's memory.
