Melvin E. Myers

Melvin Emmett Myers, age 68, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on May 12, 2023, at Montpelier Hospital. He was born April 2, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Emmett and Lois (Beard) Myers.

Before retirement, Melvin worked as a welder/fabricator for Detroit Stoker. He was one who always kept busy and never let anything stop him from doing what he enjoyed doing. He loved working on cars and repairing antique Cuckoo Clocks. Melvin liked to listen to different genres of music, from Rock N' Roll to Jazz. He always looked forward to family gatherings where memories would be shared along with laughter. Melvin was a wonderful dad, grandpa, brother, and overall an incredible man. His smile and love will be missed by those who were lucky enough to know him. This isn't goodbye, but we will see you later!

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving children, Angie Myers, Brad Myers (Jessica Duvall), and Carrie Myers; grandchildren, Charlie, Brooklyn, Cameron, Andrew, Emma, and Jaxson; mother of his children, Debbie Bunner; siblings, Danny Myers, Tracy Myers, and Holly Westrup; and nieces, Nicole, Amanda, and Alison; and nephews, Chad and Toby.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his brother, Kent Myers.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Melvin will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
