Melvin Ted Mitchell Jr., affectionately known as Mel, was born on October 29, 1955.
He was the son of the late Betty Jean Quinn Franklin and Melvin
Ted Mitchell Sr. Mel proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran. He had a love and appreciation for music and art, which brought joy and creativity into his life. His interests and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Mel leaves to cherish his memory his Stepmother, Brenda Green Mitchell; his Brothers, Brian Mitchell (Angela), Kevin Mitchell, and Mathew Franklin; his Nephews, Aaron Mitchell and Alexander Mitchell; his Niece Brianna Mitchell-Young (Bruce)
, Maternal Aunt Patricia Victorian , Special Cousins, Carmen Sanders and Mark Sanders; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
Though Mel's presence will be deeply missed, the memories of his life, the love he shared, and the impact he made will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will forever be remembered and lovingly cherished.
