Melvin W. Misiewicz, Sr., 63, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2012. He was born on July 28, 1948 to the late Sophia and Walter Misiewicz in Toledo, Ohio.
Melvin was a true outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating. Melvin also loved drag-racing, he crew-chiefed a top dragster that his brother drove. He retired from Chrysler in 2008 after 23 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Doherty. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost 20 years, Judy; children, Tina and Melvin, Jr.; step-son, Andrew; siblings, Joan and Robert; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and Kole.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Craig officiating.
