Melissa Ann "Scooter" Tokar

Melissa Ann "Scooter" Tokar, age 45, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo on March 8, 1981, to James and Betty (Frick) Walker.

Melissa dedicated the past nine years of her career as a machine chief at Johns Manville. She was known for her love of shopping, cooking, decorating, and, most importantly, spending time with and providing for her children. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

She is survived by her sons, Jordan Feltis and Johnny Tokar; her father, James Walker; her partner, Mario Zicarelli; her siblings, Alex Walker, Angela (Eric) Loynd, and Thomas Frick; as well as nieces and nephews Alana, Brittaney, Justin, Brianna, Joshua, Bethaney, Sheana, Caitlynne, Isaac, Noah, Evan, and Tommy Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Walker.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel), located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Melissa's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
