Mary Agnes Vislay, 85, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2026 at The Lakes of Monclova with Hospice 360. She was surrounded by the love of her family and support from the compassionate staff at both The Lakes of Monclova who have been assisting with her care for the last six years and Hospice 360 staff who offered amazing assistance with her end of life support and care over the last several months.

She will be remembered for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and her deep affection for animals and traveling. Born on March 14, 1940, in Toledo, Mary was the cherished daughter of Harold and Angela Dennis. From a young age, she displayed a love for life’s simple pleasures and carried an innate curiosity about the world around her. Her compassionate nature carried through every stage of her life, touching all who knew her. She shared a passion for all things animal-related and traveling. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She loved each of her cats, Misty, Samantha, Snow, and Midnight, and her dog, Robbie.

Mary graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1958. After graduating, she married Joel Vislay February 16, 1963 and went on to have two daughters, Beth and Julie, becoming a stay-at-home mom. She later started a career at The Lucas County Auditor’s Office, where she retired in December of 2009. After retiring, Mary spent her time traveling, spending time with her family and friends, ballroom dancing, and caring for her cat.

Mary was predeceased by her father, Harold, and mother, Angela Dennis. She is survived by her daughters, Beth (Jeff) Stark and Julie (Jim) Mock, grandchildren Abby (Josh) Rose, Angie (Zach) Stokes, and Joel Stark, great-granddaughter Evie Rose, and partner Dale Clark.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Newcomer (Heatherdowns) on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 10 am with a funeral procession to Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg at 11 am.
