Mary A. Long

Mary A. Long, age 89, of Maumee, Ohio, peacefully passed away on July 2, 2025, at Swanton Care and Rehabilitation. Born on May 21, 1936, to Robert and Alice (Matecki) Osborn, Mary lived a life filled with love and joy.

As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary cherished her family and her passions. She found great delight in singing and was known for her daily walks, covering three to five miles. Her vibrant spirit and golden heart will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her children, Michael Long, Sherry Vasko, and Mathew Long, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Brandon Long, Phillip Vasko, and Amanda Vasko. She is also survived by her nephew, Todd Osborn.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald E. Long; her parents, Robert W. Osborn and Alice J. Osborn; and her brother, Bob Osborn.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (SW Chapel), located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A service honoring Mary will commence at 12:00 PM, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee. 

Mary's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
