Mary Burkey

Mary Katherine Burkey, 44, was released from her pain and suffering into the arms of Jesus on August 9, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, her love of animals and nature, and especially her love for her children. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David and Jacob; parents, Kevin and Kathy; brother, Michael, grandmother, Ruby Burkey; and companion, Freddy Cassman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Erin.

Services will be private with burial in Presque Isle, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
