Mary Jane Black

Mary Jane Black (95), passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on June 16, 2026. Mary Jane Lober was born May 20, 1931 and was raised by parents, Dora and Frank Vaughn of Toledo, Ohio. Mary graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1950.

In 1953 she married her childhood sweetheart Forrest Black, Jr. Mary and Frank were married seventy years and raised four children. 

Mary enjoyed family gathering, traveling, camping and weeks spent at the lake.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Forrest; parents; siblings, Kathleen and Donald; and son-in-law, Dan Kissling. Left to cherish her memory are children, Diane Kissling, Cheryl (Bruce) Scaroleta, Ann (Terry) Littrell, and Forrest Black, III; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. 

Those wishing to donate in Mary's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Humane Society.

Services for Mary are private, she will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
