Martha Sue Fansler, a cherished member of her community and beloved wife, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. Born on February 22, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Martha lived a life filled with kindness, intelligence, and a tireless passion for helping others.
She was a graduate of Sylvania High School and furthered her education by obtaining a Naturalist Degree from Hocking Tech College. Martha dedicated her career to serving her community, spending six years at Pokagon State Park before joining the Hamilton Park District. Her remarkable 12-year tenure at The Anderson's as a cashier and Customer Service Representative showcased her helpful nature and unwavering commitment to customer care.
Martha was not only known for her professional achievements but also for her extraordinary talents as a seamstress and gardener. She possessed a creativity that added beauty to the lives of those around her and served as an inspiration to many.
In life, Martha shared 35 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Rick, who stood by her side through all of life's journeys. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, a testament to the kind and capable person she was.
Martha is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Lloyd and Carol (Doug) Smith, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will remember her for her caring spirit and the joy she brought into their lives.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Lloyd, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms. As family and friends gather to honor her memory, they will carry forward the light of kindness and love that she imparted to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Martha Sue Fansler will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who crossed her path.
