Mark Anthony Silva, age 53, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Mark was born June 29, 1972, to Juan and Mary (Pesina) Silva in Toledo. He was a machinist for many years. Mark was a devoted father, son, brother, grandfather affectionately known as “Papa,” uncle, and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Mark loved his family. He was a wonderful and loving son, a proud father, and a cherished Papa. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy and pride. He was fiercely proud of them and treasured every moment they spent together. Mark had a personality that filled every room — inviting, magnetic, and unforgettable. He had a true heart of gold and was known for his generosity, kindness, and ability to connect with anyone, anywhere. Whether you met him once or knew him for years, Mark made you feel seen, valued, and welcomed. His laughter was contagious, his humor sharp, and his spirit deeply rooted in faith. His warmth and one-of-a-kind personality created memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Mark loved life’s simple and joyful pleasures. He enjoyed barbequing and dining at fine restaurants with his loved ones and appreciated great cuisine and good company around the table. He loved music and dancing and would never back down from a Michael Jackson dance-off. Sports were another passion; he was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Red Sox, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Mark’s legacy is one of love, laughter, faith, and connection. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.

Mark is survived by his children, Mark Jr. (Latasha), Marissa (Donovan), Serena, and Desiree; his parents, Juan and Mary; his siblings, Edward, David (Suzanne), and Erica; and his longtime girlfriend, Colleen O’Leary. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Santos and Ernestina Silva, Gregorio Pesina and Margarita Negron Torres; brother Juan Silva Jr., brother-in-law Bradley Wright Sr.; uncles Antonio “Tony” Pesina, Robert (Becky) Pesina, Santos (Sylvia) Silva Jr.; aunts Mary Belia (Jeff Hibbs), Robin Pesina; cousins, Gregory Pesina Jr., Jacob Robison, Lisa Urias-Wharton, Timmy Pesina and many other loved ones.
