Marilyn R. Reynolds, a beloved homemaker and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Lambertville, Michigan, at the age of 92. Born on January 6, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, Marilyn lived a life filled with warmth, love, and dedication to her family and friends.
Marilyn’s greatest pride and joy came from her role as a mother to her four amazing children: Debbie (Arthur) Didonato, Pete (Cathy) Burnett, Lori (Scott) Franklin, and Lisa Wernert. Her influence extended to her grandchildren, Steve (Mandy) Ragan, Holly (Ian) Gallagher, Brandon (Amber) Burnett, Michael Franklin, Meghan Wernert, Kyle Burnett, Kurtis Burnett, and Robert (Christy) Wernert, as well as her 9 cherished great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Marilyn created a legacy of love that will be carried on by her family for generations to come.
Many who knew Marilyn remember her vibrant and playful spirit. She was fun to be around—feisty, bold, and ever willing to speak her truth. Her laughter was infectious, and her passion for life shone brightly in every interaction. Marilyn was someone who believed deeply in her values and loved fiercely, and she instilled those same ideals in her children.
Marilyn attended Waite High School, where she cultivated friendships that would last a lifetime. An avid gardener, she found joy in nurturing her beautiful flowers, particularly her prized roses and daisies, which she lovingly tended to in her yard. Her interests extended beyond gardening; she relished her trips to the casino and delighted in leisurely vacations to places like Yellowstone, Myrtle Beach, and Florida, where countless memories were created with her family. Summers spent at their cottage in Fremont, Indiana, were particularly special, filled with laughter, sunshine, and an unwavering bond among family.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family: her children, grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, along with her brother Raymond Serviss, sister Dawn Cook, and brother John Serviss. Additionally, she leaves behind a numerous amount of loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, all of whom will forever cherish the moments shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Ruth Serviss (nee Noll), father David Serviss, husband Ron Reynolds, ex-husband Joseph Burnett, and grandson James Wernert. The love Marilyn spread throughout her life will resonate in the hearts of those who loved her.
