Margie Schultz Palicki Campos

Margie Schultz Palicki Campos, 76 of Maumee, Ohio took Jesus’ hand, and He walked her home to Heaven on August 28, 2026.

Margie loved the passage, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Her faith was a beautiful and important part of her life, and she shared that faith with the people she loved.

Margie was a woman of strength and compassion who cared deeply about everyone whose life she touched. She especially cared for me, her husband, Gonzalo “Chalo” Campos. One of our favorite songs to harmonize together was “Always and Forever.” I proudly sang it as she walked down the aisle 23½ years ago. On December 22, 2002, we vowed to put God first in our marriage, a promise that remained at the heart of our life together.

Margie loved hearing and sharing many stories about her first husband, Michael Palicki, who passed away in 1998. She also loved every day with the two great joys of her life, our sons, Allen and Wesley. They are two survivors who can handle any storm with God’s help.

Margie was a 1967 graduate of Bowsher High School. She continued her education at the Northwest Ohio Practical Nurses Training Center, graduating in 1971 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In 1983, she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) from the University of Toledo. In 2000, she graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Health Services.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Palicki; her parents, Arthur and Mabel Schultz; and her sisters, Bette Lee Schneider and Kathleen Pauken.

She is survived by her husband, Gonzalo “Chalo” Campos; her sons, Allen and Wesley Palicki; and her dear friend, Melinda Robinson. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Paul Schultz  (Elizabeth) Schultz and James Schneider.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel) 4752  Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A service celebrating Margie's will follow visitation at 7:00 PM.  Interment will be private at Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg.

I would especially like to thank the incredible staff and nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio, for the loving care they gave Margie.

A tremendous thank you also goes to our friends and family for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Margie, you fought every storm with strength and faith. You loved deeply, cared for everyone around you, and brought God back into my life. I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed and that I was blessed to walk beside you for 23½ years.
