Margaret Ann Day, affectionately known as Marge, graced the world with her warmth and kindness, born on April 11, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio. She departed this life peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving daughter on December 3, 2025
An extraordinary woman, Marge served as an Office Manager for her husband’s business, Day and Sons, a HVAC distributor, where her dedication and work ethic shone brightly. She was a proud graduate of Whitney High School, and her journey through life was characterized by a deep love for her family, a passion for cooking, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.
Marge was a loving mother, a role she cherished deeply, and her children held fond memories of the nurturing home she created. An excellent cook and baker, she poured her heart into her culinary creations, even crafting delightful doll cakes for her children and grandchildren. Her gift in the kitchen was matched only by her green thumb; she spent countless hours tending to her garden, with her most cherished roses taking center stage.
Family life was central to Marge’s existence. She volunteered countless hours at her children's school activities, a testament to her commitment and love. Holidays were especially magical times in her home, with Christmas standing out as her favorite celebration. Each season, she meticulously decorated their home, rivaling the skill of a true interior decorator. These gatherings fostered a spirit of togetherness and joy that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Marge loved to travel with her beloved husband, Bud, exploring destinations across the country and abroad, creating beautiful memories, including a cherished trip to Italy which they were fortunate enough to meet the pope. Their time spent living in a condo in Florida holds a special place in the hearts of her family, embodying joyful moments of laughter and love.
Marge’s kindness extended far beyond her immediate family; she had a remarkable ability to connect with people and never knew a stranger. Her legacy is enriched by the many friends she made throughout her life, all who felt the warmth of her spirit.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Lori; sons, Ken (Evie) and Jim (Kris); and a legion of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she will be remembered fondly by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Though Marge has joined her beloved parents, Thelma and Nicholas, and her dear husband, Bud, her eldest son, Rick, and two of her beloved grandchildren in eternity, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched with her love, laughter, and gifts. Her legacy is one of love, nurturing, and dedication—a loving woman who leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of affection that will be celebrated for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Marge’s honor to Heartland Hospice.
