Makayla Rose, beloved wife and soul mate to Keith, stepmother to Willow and Max, daughter to Michael and Betany, sister to Kelsey, little sis to Tim, Nate and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews, and friends. Makayla peacefully passed on February 16th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Makayla was 28 years old. She is preceded in death by Parker, Grandma & Grandpa Scott.
Born on March 4, 1995, Makayla was a strong but stubborn soul, whose presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her. She was known for being fiercely independent, rarely accepting help because her toughness and determination knew no limits. Behind her hard exterior though, Makayla was a big softie, secretly wanting to love those she felt loyal and closest to. Her incredible heart is why so many loved her, you just had to break through her walls. If you were lucky enough to do that, you saw what made her so special.
Makayla found immense joy in loving her puppies Luna and Kash (those were her babies). When Makayla was not loving her pups, she enjoyed playing sudoku, doing puzzles with the kids, getting her nails and lashes done, and attempting to garden. She loved flowers due to her days at Black Diamond, she just didn't have a green thumb.
Makayla received a B.A. in Communications from The University of Toledo, which she leveraged into a full-time position at Sherwin-Williams as an Assistant Store Manager. Prior to her professional career, Makayla was a server and bartender, where she touched so many lives and developed lifelong relationships.
Makayla lives on through all those fortunate enough to know and love her.
