Mabel Joann Wright

Mabel J. Wright age 82, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at Flower Hospital. She was born in Toledo on February 12, 1943, to Charles and Violet (Lewis) Shea.

Mabel loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed the holidays, summer cookouts and bunco with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her spitfire personality and her love for shopping.

Surviving is her children, Carrie Wright; Connie (Darren) Peters, William (Myrna) Wright and Donald (Sherri) Wright; grandchildren, Katrina and Karissa Potts, Mindy (Jay) Staton, Darren (Ashley) Peters, Marissa Peters, Austin Wright, Mariah (Josh) Singleton, Sydney Wright, Anastasia, Megan, Michael and Melanie Perkins; great-grandchildren, Dallas, DaLaycie, Karmyn, Santi, Ethan, Kinsley, Edrena, Hudson, Haven, Oakley, Mya, Copeland, Freya and Renesmee. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend, Maggie Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Donald L. Wright and siblings, Charles Shea, Harriet Stuckey, Virginia Wilson and William Shea.

Family and friends will be welcomed at the Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
