Listen to Obituary

Lynn Richard Ball, age 77, of Toledo, OH passed away November 25, 2025 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born September 18, 1948 in Toledo to William and Rita (Young) Ball.

Lynn proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart for being wounded in action. He was a Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

Married to his wife Linda for 54 years, they enjoyed traveling and supporting their 2 children and 3 grandchildren in all their endeavors. He was also a huge supporter of his wife in fostering kittens for the last 6 years for the Toledo Humane Society.

His second love was golf. He was the first member of The South Toledo Golf Club in 1978 and a proud member of "The Crick". Throughout his life he had 7 holes in one and was very proud of his low score of 64 in 2018. You very rarely saw him without his Titleist hat on and he would always say "just put it in the hole".

His other family were his friends at The Distillery where he was affectionately known as "Larry". He and his friends would gather there after their rounds of golf to go over each scorecard to make sure no mistakes were made and settle all bets.

In addition to his parents, Lynn was also preceded in death by his sister, Debra Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda S. (Pakulski) Ball; daughter, Kimberly (Andy) Ieropoli; son, Kurt Ball; grandchildren, Erin Gardner, Emily Gardner and Justin Ball; and siblings, Edward Ball, Judy Monahan, Greg (Diana) Ball, Samuel (Tammy) Ball and Betty (Ron) Trumbull.

Per Lynn's request there will be no viewing or services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Toledo Area Humane Society in Lynn's memory.
