Lois Mae Cox Perchan, 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 14 at home surrounded by her family. Lois was born May 28, 1938 in Holden, WV, a daughter of the late Lucian and Marie Spaulding Cox. She had several professions during her lifetime including key punch operator, OTR driver and bookkeeper. An avid seamstress, Lois spent many hours creating beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She loved cooking, baking and making some of the best jam you have ever eaten, which has been affectionately named Mammaw Jammaw by her grandson.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Ray Hitchcock, brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Ann Cox, granddaughter Heather O’Connor Geyer, and nephew Gene Lester. She is survived by her 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane (Larry) York, Kathryn (Marc) Addison, Teresa (Terry) Keefe, grandchildren, Greg York, Ryan O’Connor, Russell (Jo) York, Sean O’Connor, Timothy O’Connor, Aaron (Sally) York, Jayme (Michael) Nance, Leigh Addison, Brandon Addison, Lauren (Dan) Honaker and Jordan (Frances) Keefe; 30 great-grandchildren and 7great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews Vicki (Robert) Haynie, Linda (Steve) Fouch, Barb (John) Neely, Georgia (Wayne) Luoma, Jesse (Sandi) Cox and Adam (Maria) Cox.
Visitation will be Monday, June 1, 2026 @ Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Rd., Toledo, OH 43623 from noon to 1:00 with burial to follow in Ravine Cemetery, Sylvania, OH. Funeral meal will be immediately following the burial at the Flanders Road Church of Christ.
